Cyber Security Awareness Month Coming to a Close

by Matt Miller on

For the last couple weeks, we’ve been talking about cyber-security all based around the fact that October is National Cyber Security Awareness month. In our posts we’ve talked about some of the bigger picture, more general aspects of cyber-security and directed you back to Stay Safe Online to get a little deeper look at some of the smaller aspects, that may be more specific to you or your industry.

And now that we’ve talked about it we want to see what you’ve learned!

We wrote up a short quiz to see how much you know about cyber-security and how to protect yourself online.

So how’d you do? Don’t worry, we don’t have a grading scale or anything! This was more for you to gauge what you know and what you may need to brush up on.

The theme for Cyber Security Awareness month this year (its 13th year by the way!) was “Our Shared Responsibility”. This the biggest point we want to drive home. Being a good cyber citizen means not looking out for just your information and privacy, but everyone around you. Wherever you work, it’s important to keep your network safe in order to protect company information and the personal information of your coworkers. It’s up to all of us to make sure we are being safe and smart while online and actively working to increase security every day.

If there’s anything specific regarding cyber-security you want us to talk about in more detail, whether it’s on the quiz or not, let us know!

And as always, if your business is needing help when it comes to security (or anything IT related) please don’t hesitate to reach out!
